Nordic Ski Lessons!

  • Tuesday night progressive cross-country ski class - Tuesday nights from 7-8:30 pm. Starting January 10th until February 14th ages 15 and over. This class is offered through White Lake Area Community Education. Please visit www.wlace.com for details and registration.  Enrollment is limited to 15 people

  • How to classical ski - In this 90 minute lesson you will learn the basics of the traditional (or classical) skills of cross country skiing. We will literally start at the beginning; with how to put your skis on, how to take them them off and the all important, how to easily get up after that first gentle tumble on the snow. We will then head out on to the trail system and practice the graceful kick and glide skills followed by plenty of time learning how to get up hills and then safely back down. The lesson progresses at the students’ own pace and only a moderate level of fitness is needed to get started.
  • How to Skate Ski - Have you ever seen those cross country skiers zip by you on the trail and wonder how they seem to go so fast, so effortlessly? Well this class is for you. Skate skiing is literally skating on a pair of cross country skis that are specifically designed for the sport. We will teach the basic skating techniques of V1 and Marathon Skate in this 90 minute active class. It is preferable that you have had some experience classical skiing prior to this class and that you have a moderate level of fitness.

Please e-mail us at info@msports.org  to register, we just need you name, phone # and shoesize if you need to rent our ski boots.
